hi , sure the answer on here somewhere if someone can point me to it.
i am sick of seeing service exceeded by x days, in my case over 100 when i first put key in . i have done the service myself . i cant see in the two inches of manuals how to do it .... and there seems to be many ways on utube ,not specif to my car 03 r230 sl600 anyone know . ? would guess same as sl500 0f similar yr . i must have spetn 2 hr on net looking . is it in star ?

There is a way in Star but can't remember it. On the 210 it's done by button presses and key - I'll look it up once I'm home.

Turn key to position 2.

1. Dismiss the warning about the service being overdue
2. use the left hand side wheel buttons to navigate to the remaining interval display
3. Press and hold the trip reset button for a while.
4. Follow onscreen prompts.

cheers. i saw that ,my dash is different .water temp to left of rpm and fuel guage to right of speedo. i might have it sorted , will know when i fire up in the am , thought i had it fixed before and it came back again.

prob solved. however....................

now, i have an issue with the small side window d/s. seems everytime one put the key in there is something.. i went for a run to see all good and noticed a wind noise ,the rear window does not fully close it stays about 3mm open , i have to put my hand on both sides of the glass and slide it the last 3mm . now i had this issue three yrs ago and cant remember how i got over it ,but its come back again . i have tried the reset as in the book, unless i miss understand the method i have done that with no effect . but somehowi got over it before, any ideas . i tried the roof up and down ,no improvement .

If you press it to go up manually all the way, does it reach fully closed, then drop down again, or is that its natural "top"?

On the switch does it go up if you operate to the first position (as opposed to pulling past the luck to the auto close)?
When reteaching the closed position use the first position Inthe switch to sperate it to fully open/closed.

After buying my w212 last January, I changed all the oils. To date, it has travelled about 5500 Miles. Now, it's showing "Service B" due in 20 day's" ( seems to go in 5 day segments) so according to the service booklet's oil change intervals of 10'000 Miles, I still have about 4'500 Miles to go before it's due a change. Will I be able to reset it according to the instructions above? Or will the iCarsoft 11 be able to do it?

basically when i operate the switch the ds window closes then goes down to about 2 inch from top .if i close while holding the switch it closes to the top and stays there ..operating the switch again brings up the back ds window, but it does not get to the fully closed position and hence the draught and wind noise. as said i had this some yrs ago ,but got rid of it ,just wish i could remember how

The car isn't seeing the door closed. Check the microswitch in the latch, I don't think r230's have the little button on the door shut....
