Hi guys,

Looking to get my dads B180d serviced soon, its a 2017 model, the 1.5d engine, semi auto.
We use a local independent who we've used for years on his previous C-Class.

Its coming up with A9 Service, they have dug into the Service History and said it needs a Service which is classed as B since its been a while since last done but will be recorded as the A, so needs:
- Oil Change
- Air Filter
- Oil Filter
- Pollen Filter
They've also "recommended" a Brake Fluid change (apparently done in 2019, done about 10/12k miles since - is this necessary?).

They have also said it needs a Gearbox Service. Question is, is this necessary? Its currently only around 60k miles. This is nearly as much as the main service itself.

Any comments and advice appreciated.

Thanks.

Sounds like all of the right extras there for the year of the vehicle.

DCT transmission oil and filters are every 5 years. Brake fluid every 2 years.
Thanks, appreciate it.

Might get the main service done first then and have the DCT done later.

+1 as above, don't skip the gearbox service on these IMO. They can be a bit fickle if they have missed services.
