Well I'm sure a man with your charm will manage to persuade her to come over for the Winters. For a start it's much warmer in Dorset than Sweden ;)

Found another

Its me again, found an 02 car with 15k miles its got every known extra other than a glass roof. It has the AMG body kit. the price is OK as well, its in Liverpool so I will go in the morning to see it, specwise its the best I have ever seen. Re the glass roof, having sat in one the area of glass is not that big, and maybe they look better from the outside without

Also seen an 03 car with a good spec, but 53k miles and that would take me 10 years at least to get the earlier car up to that.

and your problem with the miles is what Malcolm ? my SL has 153K on the clock and driving it and looking at it you would never know - being in lectronics - both of us i am sure you understand the bathtup failure curve - do you think 53K is still on the downward slope or what - hoping that 153K is way off the upward slope at this end he he.

As long as the first owner has gone through the initial burn in you should be ok. The one in Liverpool does it have 20" wheels (or 5 x 4" bricks)

Hi Bobcat, no 20" wheels for me, its got the 18" AMG wheels and body, this also means that if I change the grill from 4 bar to the 3bar chrome ones as on the new SL it will look like new. It so happens that I have a spare set of new 17" wheels to use in the winter, I have never seen so many options on any car before.

well they are obviously perverted - abbreviation comes before acronym

not being well edumacated but i do remember my A, B & C's

BUT i dont wish to get into a big discssion over TLA's and TLI's and when it is a TLAb a TLAc or a TLI

coming from the computer world TLA will always mean to me three letter abbreviation as in JAN FEB MAR DOS ETC note the last two now are they acronyms or are they abbreviations??? there is a view that TL Abbreviations are to do with single words and acronyms are to do with multiple words.................BUT like i said this is not something i wish to debate endlessly.

TLA's we have as part of the 'knowledge is power' thing which I do not subscribe to. Unfortunately almost all businesses do. We have them as acroynms as they are all multiple words.
