My 1997 SL320's Perspex windows are always being crinkled when closing/opening. When closing I try to remove any potential folds by smoothing out but to no avail. Should I cease this and close the roof in one motion?
Will the crinkles come out in time? Is there anything else I can do to prevent this 'damage'?
Thanks all. Ed

You could put a tea-towel on the screen when it folds to stop it creasing.

It seems to be the quarter perspex windows that are suffering the most.
When you suggest putting a tea-towl over the perspex. Do you mean 'inside the fold'?
Thanks,
Ed

Hi Ed,
Yes, this should stop the perspex folding so tightly. Having the hood up when your not using the car will also go someway to stop the creases becoming permanent

Yes, I know what you mean, however the creases mayl develop over the winter months with the hard top on.
I'll try to see where it's pinched the next time it's fold down.
