Just removed the PSE pump from the wifes SLK as the roof was becoming a hassle. This is what the PCB looks like after several years worth of moisture.

Hope that soldering some of the joints will fix it, then I will replace the pump but in a sealed bag with cable ties.

You must spray the board, use a clear celulose both sides

Did you turn the PSE upside down ?

It can be fatal to place these things in a sealed bag,as if water gets in it cant dry out. Water finds its way into strange places

No Ive refitted the PSE as originally fitted, I will look at a way of sealing the PSE without turning it upside down. Ideally I need to find out where the water is coming in from and try to do something about that as the foam box stays damp.

See attached 3 of my brood, I will be building a bigger garage next year to take 4 cars.

I understand that the water runs down the cables

nice 201 2.5D 1993 & very nice 129 SL500 1994
Clobber the gubbins with waxoyl, it has kept a several electronic modules I have installed in very good order for the last ten years.
The units are pole mounted (inside boxes) on a coastal spot with high & wet sea winds.
The aerosol can works quite well and is easy to apply an even coat with.
