Smell

Drove my new to me SL250 d about 20 miles today, playing with the manual mode, nothing fast all within 30/40 MPH limits. Temperature got up to 90', on returning to my garage switched off, the fan then started and an awful smell of burnt rubber/plastic. a few minutes later fan had switched off and smell almost gone.

Wonder why,

Nice man from Mercedes confirms no problems, engine was merely clearing it's throat.....or Dpf thingy. But anyway as he says the car is under warranty
