Hi guys my name is Den not long had sprinter 313
It’s driving me up the wall should of stuck with my transit
Anyway if anyone can help I had the brake force light on in red . With abs and the slippery car sign what even that’s is .
So I changed the all the abs sensors which took out the red light
But abs still on so I changed both back bearing hubs cause my mate plugged in computer and I still said rear abs .
Still got abs and the other light and limp mode . Can anyone give me any ideas what to do with it
Apart from set light to it please
Cheers Den

Did you buy genuine ABS sensors from Mercedes Den? They dont like aftermarket sensors.
I have a Vito and had to change the rear bearings in mine. I fitted genuine sensors and had no bother since

Not that i know of Den, normally same plugs but looms might be different lengths to suit each side. Get genuine Merc ones to rule out its them, I remember mine were 40 something quid about a year ago for the rear ones so probably not much more expensive than motor factors best brands . you'll read of a lot of people having hassle with motor factor sensors and even the good brands can be temperamental. The bearings are changed so at least you can rule that bit out Den. Can your mates diagnostic pick out which sensor is giving bother? might only be one, Star diagnostics at an independent garage or if yo know someone with icarsoft i980 or CR pro will show which one is faulty

I just got genuine as ive heard so many times on here of aftermarket playing haywire with the ABS. I cant remember which is the go to brand ATM for Merc genuine sensors? as its a year since I fitted mine. What brand was your aftermarket one ajlsl600?

Thanks Kev
Yes mate plugged it in saying both rear
But me being a muppet I took them both out and took them with me
Now not sure if I have put the left in the right plug and vice versa . Not sure if it mattered . The first lot where Hella ones and the second lot I bought where
Brembo .
He can’t turn the fault off
Do I need drive it ?

Not sure about the sprinter but on mine the two back cables were different lengths for leach side Den. Really dont think it should matter as they both send the same signal to the ABS unit. Find it strange both sets of new ones didn't work at some point. Yes you need to drive it after disconnecting ABS sensors and changing the bearings as ABS doesn't know everything is replaced. Once you go over 20mph or so they should reset the ABS automatically if its happy everything is ok.

Sorry to hear that Den. Try to find an independent Merc specialist if any local as it might save you money with their experience of these vehicles
