I have a 311 cdi on a 53 plate and a few weeks ago started hearing a whooshing noise when on the throttle, so loud that I couldn't hear the turbo whine. When releasing the throttle it dissappears... a week or so ago I lost power when excelerating as if the turbo had packed up. I stopped, restarted and the van drove fine, or be it with the whooshing noise still there when on the gas. Later on the van lost power again with hardly any power as if the turbo where not working or I had lost a cylinder.
I must stress that at no time have any warning lights come on and the van still drives but with hardly any acceleration.
