Sub woofer

Hi All,

Does anyone know if there is a sub woofer fitted in an SLK (2002) model.
The bass in my car is really good but for the life of me, I cannot find a sub anywhere. Head unit is a Sony and they don't usually produce bass of this quality. If it does not have one then the speakers are very good.

the sony head unit was the standard fit. you upgraded to becker made MB units. I dont recall having a subwoofer on the standard unit. So unless you can locate it by listening then either it doesn have one and you have good speakers, or the previous owner had an aftermarket unit fitted.

they are in the footwell on the 2004 onward model if that helps!
