Hello all I am a new member and would very much appreciate some help.
My Tel/Nav/Audio has stopped working.
When I go through the screens what I do get is " Waiting for Nav " or Waiting for Tel in the instrument display then just ---- four dashes. I have tried taking out the fuses and disconnecting the battery but the has not worked.
The disc will not reject from the unit in the rear. It is a Harman Becker model 6059.
My car is a 2005 E320 CDI Estate.
Any advise would very much be appreciated

It will have to go on STAR I think to see what has happened, you have done all the first checks

It's Mercedes own Diagnostic software, not cheap, or easy to use. Typically the dealer or a decent independant will help you ( tons of GOOD resident ones on this forum  )

You may get some sense from generic code readers, but like any code reader, the real skill is learning to make sense of what the reader tells you.

one word of caution is that their labour rates will be high, expect a usual of ~ £100 p/hour all in.

If you look on the forum, you may find an alternative Indie who has STAR who will probably charge you 1/2 that rate.

Have you checked the fuse for the AGW module ? Fuse no' 6 in the nsr fuse rack on the boot IIRC :)

Good luck, it may something as simple as this, however if the command HU fires up, it normally mean the AGW unit in the boot is ok ( I had to exchange mine a while back as it gradually lost it's AM/FM radio... very frustrating to solve ! )

:)

Do find a good indie near you in the "specialist finder" top right, very expensive to use a dealer
