He can obviously park anywhere then?!!!!!!!
Knowing that particular petrol station, everyone ignores the disabled bay markings, i always find it disgusting that people done respect these, same as family bays at supermarkets, the amount of times I’ve had a go at people who don’t have kinds in their car and in some cases even kids at all just parking in those days just because I’ve lost count,

100% agree on disabled bays.

But......

Why should there be special bays for people just because they have kids? I’m tempted to buy a second hand car seat and put it in my wife’s car. Could be collecting or just dropped off the grand kid!!;):p

To extrapolate this concept of bays for people with children, why aren’t there special bays:
- for people over a certain age
- overweight people
- etc etc

For me it’s not that they are close to the door I’d be quite happy if they were the far end of the car park, it’s about the space needed around for not only my car to open its doors safely, but for other cars around, kids are not aware of what’s around them, they don’t have any sense that leanings against a car can scratch the paint, or knocking the door into the next car can ding it’s body work, adults can and do have that consciousness and therefore can avoid it

Oh I understand why - my question was rhetorical. Put them in the far corner of the car park where there is little traffic. Old people have difficulty getting in and out of cars & need to open their doors wide etc.

Putting them at the far end of the car park means little people have further to walk though the parked cars… This puts them at greater risk of getting run over by those clamouring to park outside the door of the supermarket…

Old people should get their groceries delivered, it will help stop them getting upset about young people…:p

Just planning ahead.;) I see old people struggling to get in and out of cars at supermarket parking because they cannot open their doors fully.

Worst is that you see people with carseats and no kids with them using those bays.

I'm happy that people with kids need wide spaces, and that people with a (real) disability do too.

But they should also charge extra for wide spaces that anyone can use, they do it in Australia. Then people like us can have the benefits of the disabled, or with a troop of kids if we choose to pay for it.

But in this communist state of England thats seen as encouraging inequality to "the rich"; though its actually the middle class who would use them.... the rich don't need public car parks

Is that an oxymoron?:);)

I find it strange that so many complain about the “rich” in this country but have no issues with the money made by “celebrities" and footballers.

I think the money made by those people is bluddy obscene but I wonder how I would be if I was one them, different story altogether :)

Thoroughly expecting to find myself on here anytime soon.

In my defence, I've only had the car one day and more importantly I know I'll make a right mess trying to take it off.

Therefore I'm taking a distinctly anti-establishment stand.

Do your worst ;)
