I went out today to be a chaep laser printer, the HP and brother both at £59,, the more I looked , the more I thought that I should have a better one, and lifted down the £199 HP.

Walking around the store I realized that it would never go into the SL, so I put it back and took the £59 one, So the SL saved me £140 today and that cant be bad:D

Just as well you didn't take your Volvo, you'd be £199 down as opposed to £59.

And is the more expensive printer really 3x as good? Spend ones spare cash on MB's is what I say :D

Well I have a good inkjet and a good scanner, it was just something for printing out tickets and MB papers.

I just hate it that when you go to print a simple thing out, it turns into 3 pages of crap. all in colour

I find the SL pays my wages.

When I'm talking to prospects and clients and they see my car they say "well, you're obviously doing something right so I'll put my faith in you"

People really are daft aren't they?

You are obviously not working on the same corner as Helen? ;)

PMSL. Seriously though, it can work both for and against you driving a nice car when it comes to business and is a difficult balance to get right.

I agree 100% It caused problems for me when I bought the SL and had to keep the garage door closed to hide it

I am always careful which corner I 'shop on' and indeed any one trying to sell me ow't will have a big problem if I see they are driving anything above a Hillman Imp or having oily hair, mustache, 6inch high heels, see through blouse - cross that one out - nose ring, tattoo's of any sort and anywhere or wearing anything that looks expensive my VERY suspicious mind will calculate that they are taking far to much out of the deal.

Apart from that all should be well, mind you I am a sucker for a good looking well turned out woman who happens to be well off and would be able to keep me in the style I wish to become accustomed:p:p

on a more serious note..

I would totally agree with Stumpy. The reason the private hire firm I do part time driving for is a success is the class of car, how they are turned out, the dress code of the drivers the attention to detail and most importantly meeting all of the the customers expectations.

It all adds up to delivering a quality service where excellence is the standard.:)
