Hi All,
i am shortly expecting to be in the market for a new car as just selling my FTO ( see attached image) It was my boyhood car and time to grow up =)
I like the look of Mercedes-Benz C Class and was looking to explore my options.
I am leaning towards the C180K SE 3dr Auto Sport Coupe 1.8, I do not do very many miles probably around 3/5k a year so would like the most economic for smaller runs.
Also worth mentioning i have mechanics in my extended family so unlikely to service the car through dealers
I am saving for a wedding so cannot justify splashing out, i have a budget of up to £3K
Ideally i want the following:
Under 100k Mileage
Face lift Model
Panoramic Roof
Leather interior
Am i being realistic? if not is it worth going down the non-facelift models (2001-2004) but i hear that they may have been built with inferior parts and suffer badly from rust.
Is there any known design faults with the C Class, or anything major i should keep an eye out for when looking to buy my first c class?
Also what are the normal servicing costs?
Any pointers or advise would be appreciated.
Thanks
Alex
