I f the vehicle wasn't taxed it should have been trailered. You may only drive a car on the public highway without a roadfund licence for the purpose of attending a prebooked MOT????? was always my belief:shock:

also correct. aa or rac wont move a car even on a transporter from a private drive to a garage, unless its road legal as theyre not insured to do so. so if your car has been laid up over the winter on a sorn and the mot has expired, they wont move it for repairs, even if it wont run! how daft is that?

a rope is illegal for a PLANNED tow, however its ok for use in an emergency only. that was the last thing i heard, from an RAC guy.

Its a bit like during the last century they would not hang people with a wooden leg......
