I picked up my 2012 C220 CDi sport last week, delighted with the car, one thing I'm curious about though is will tuning or mapping the car make it run slightly smoother? I know it will never be like a 6 cylinder but feel it is a little lumpy and noisy esp on idle, not clued up on this side of things so any advice would be great

Sounds more like a service required. Mapping will make the car better but it should be running correctly first I would of thought

It was serviced and given it's first MOT before I picked it up from the dealership, maybe it's all in my head as it's my first diesel car in over 10 years

Then if you have the ££££££ get it mapped you won't regret it ;)

Good evening,

Yeah the only diesels that are not a little noisy are the 6 pot monsters which are really smooth! If its serviced and well maintained it should be fine ;)

Many thanks
