Viabration

Hi
I am getting a viabration at exactly 2000 rpm in my 1998 SLK230K, after this it dissappears. Could it be the cats resonating or some other problem?

This is a hard one, Cat's make a rattle when faulty,like a stone in a tin can, and you would not feel any vibration.
