Can someone tell me if Im going mad. On my 01 ML 270CDi, there is a feture that when you select reverse the nearside mirror lowers automaticly to give better kerbside vision. I've read the book inside out on how to set this up, and when testing it out soon after setting, it works fine. Lock the car, unlock, get back in and test again, the mirror goes to the desired lower possition, but also out about 10 degrees so making it impossable to view the kerb. Tried about 20 times now, same result. Any dealer people out there heard of this before, or am I going mad and doing something rally stupid.

No you are not going mad this can be a problem. it will need to be updated and reset on STAR the next time it goes in for service.

After setting you do end up by storing it on the seat memory with key in position 2

Mine sometimes does not return to the position that I want, I just press the seat memory button and the seat does not move but the mirros does.
