W203 C270CDI Est. Engine management light / max 3000 rpm

Good evening all.
First ever post, here goes.
Recently replaced Turbo top intercooler pipe. Wonderfull engine back to normal, Smooth, responsive and good increase in MPG and turbo performance.
3 days later engine management light comes on. Car is still running smoothly, MPG at 40+ and car will not rev above 3000 rpm. Also down on acceleration if pushed.

Any help / advice greatfully recieved

Your car is in limp mode Steven. Possibly the MAF sensor is faulty but it really needs diagnosing with MB Star diagnosis equipment.

What is your location so maybe someone can suggest an MB independant tech who can check your car over?

Many thanks for such a quick responce. We are in pagham on the south coast Nr to Chichester.
Coincidental that the fault should occur a short time after fitting the replacement turbo pipe?
Would it be worthwhile cleaning the MAF sensor?

You can try cleaning the MAF with electrical contact cleaner, but it often doesn't work.
You have a really good indy just down the road at Horndean. Give them a call and they will sort it for you.
