Is the wiring and connector OK? Generic readers don't always give the right definitions. Do you have an Icarsoft?

Some cars give odd live values with a stored code.

What codes do you currently have?

Also, you may be monitoring the air filter map sensor.

Ah OK, I'd check the that sensor and do double check the wiring! What are the other codes?

Ah yes. You potentially have a boost leak, but do check that poost pressure sensor, I think it's the same as the other sensor (there are 2 on the twin turbo engines). See if the fault follows the sensor or not.

OK thank you very much.. as I say I've replaced 1 map/boost sensor.. which is the most exessable one ..but is the 2nd one just at the back of that 1 on 250cdi

Yes they are both quite close, just lower and behind.

Do sanity check the wiring though, the sensors don't fail that often!

Yes much better than generic readers.
Hi Alexander ive had a good root around the wire harnesses can't really find any thing that stands out... so did a live diagnostic stream... I noticed boost pressure sensor was 0.80 bar on tick over ...and it stayed the same when reving engine .. is that correct?? Thought the psi would increase

Did you check intake manifold? Sometimes they can crack and you have to replace them. At this point I would suggest to take it to the Mercedes Dealer or a good indie that will be able to perform some more tests on SD. I will try to run SD in Test mode to see what type of checks SD is recommending for the error codes. More than likely it will ask to check the voltage on the plug to the sensor and for the intake leak error it will ask to perform a smoke test.

Did you have any error code which was relating to DPF pressure sensor?

You need to check the boost pressure under load. You can't accurately test boost in neutral as the turbo requires load in order to work.
