Well I've been out and taken a closer look this morning whilst doing an oil change. There are two hooks which locate behind a pair of lugs and those hooks are broken and so I'll need to source a replacement, more than likely from MB I'd reckon.

I'll also probably need to get some primer and a rattle can. Does anyone know where I can find the paint code on the VIN plate? I think it's palladium silver according to the logbook

You’ll find the paint code also on your car when you open the drivers door- palladium is super good!

Tried to edit an earlier post but it won't let me. The garage I bought the vehicle from want to have it back in the workshop to ascertain whether it can be fixed or whether a new part is required so that's a something.

Mine sort of does that but the offside flap is left hanging open haha....dangly flap
