HI, I have W208 2.3 Cabrio and the roof did not work, it hasn't worked for a long time i think (I was broke when I bought it) I have had it on a diagnostic machine and the Roof module was duff, so I've gritted my teeth and bought one, its tested and proved to be working fine. There are now no electrical faults with the car.
I fitted it correctly and things have got really weird.
When I open the roof all widows go down every time (this never happened with my old module)
When I pull on the roof switch the head rests do nothing (i thought they should go down)
Some times the routine mostly works, :- The roof unlock at the back and lifts up, the roof cover then un-locks and raises up, the roof will then start to fold away and about 2/3's of the way it stops.
(I can press it down all the way) the roof cover then tries to close even though the roof is still partly out.
Some times there is nothing, and the roof switch flashes slowly.
Its the same when putting the roof up, it has worked a few times, but most of the time there is nothing.
I suspect the roof has not been used for a long time. I have been using it over the last 2 months manually, but its such a pain.
