I have had a friend scan the car and the following OBD code has come up

" P2034 L5 Crankshaft Position Sensor P0335 "

I'm guessing that due to sensor on crank shaft being faulty car is not starting

I have rang GSF and they quoted £30 for the sensor how easy is it to change and does anyone have a "DIY" on it.

rather depends what car it is - there are an awful lot of different W211 models.

At the rear on the right hand side as you look at the engine, on the bell housing its self, so about one o.clock if you were looking at it straight on, held in with a torx bolt and a square plug......

Quite.....but the CPS is in the same place. The video is actually for a V8 S500.
Just get the engine cover off if its in the way and you'll see it.
Removal and replacement are the same as the video.
