W211 rear number plate lights/brake and boot release

got a major intermitent problem the rear number plate lights and boot release alongside brake light stopped working intermitently however now have become permanent

unable to open boot with fob also

anyone know where the fuse is located for this or any ideas what I could check to try fix fault

Most likely a broken wire in the harness to the boot lid.

Yep very common fault, the wiring along the left hand hinge weakens and breaks.

Brown colour wiring snapped , same think happened to me
