Thank you for your quick reply Malcolm, l will lift the roof off and check the seating of it and the seals, would you recommend going round the seals with silicon spray/gummiflege before re-seating it ?

Yes certainly use some thing, the added advantage is that the roof slides easier, so therefor it can close tighter, gummi pledge works well on all rubbers and all helps to keep water out.
