Tis the future, alas, I would have bought a 4 seater e-class V8 cabriolet if they still made one, c class basic looking dash, s class too expensive...

Did I read somewhere that MB realised the error of their ways with the 63 and, couple to the slight wobble about the EV-only date, are rethinking the 4-cyl hybrid offering?

Took out a 296 GTB this afternoon - mightily impressive powertrain, in pretty much every regard! (Actually, quite an impressive car, full stop!)

How the buggery do they get 416hp from a 2 flipping litre? Remarkable, but I guess sadly no V8 rumble. Times they are a changin'.

Don’t forget the EVO FQ400, not hard or new but doing it well is, making it last, I have my popcorn at the ready but, extended service intervals and the way most of these small engines high peer things are ragged by muppets, I won’t hold my breath.

Putting the 48V Hybrid system in all petrol models now I’m really impressed with mine hardly ever turn the Stop/Start off the turbine smooth start-up is really impressive
The sound in Dynamic + is pretty good too on the straight 6 but still short of the V8 rumble. Having said that it does have an F1 type of scream to it...

It was put out but apparently that are standing fast even with Sales at nearly zero

Wouldnt be a viable commercial decision to carry on with the V8's in light of the upcoming EU fines imposed for producing & selling ICE's

This is all turning round with the V8 they will head back into AMG models in the future they reconfigured it and it passed Euro 7

Not likely to last long at that power rating, prob over stressed, and fitting in well with mb, keep em paying out and on the hook for 8.1 yrs.
Great if u can change ur car every 2,3 Yr. But don't fancy that. Esp with the expected depreciation.
I bet over 10 Yr a nice lazy v12 wud be cheaper to run.
