Well a night away and our first little road trip in the 215 (yes, believe it or not. Had the car since Nov '15....)

She behaved impeccably throughout, as did the other three females. We surprised my Dad on his birthday, handed over presents, met up with my brother who was coincidentally in the same area and experienced poltergeist activity in the old coaching inn we stayed in. I'd like to say that the pub was lovely and so on, but it was really just a bit crummy and way overpriced.

Anyway, the Beast managed just under 24mpg on the trip, including motorway and A roads at 50-80mph and lots of rallying around the hills near Stourbridge and Bridgeport.

70mpg at 60mph was the best I could manage...

I am familiar with the 4 wheeled version as well, I worked for Audi/Volkswagen from 1979 to '85 I remember they had a 'Driver' range for the ones not able to afford the GTi

The prettiest one though with the exception of the Mk.1 and maybe 7. I really did like that car, took me from 42 to 230k miles and still going strong.

I had the same model Jon reg G880 STS (Ghosts we called it), what a car , mine was Oak Green Metallic
That was actually my second, the first I picked up from Benfields in Newcastle was stolen off my colleagues drive the first night in Tynemouth (staying overnight before driving back to Edinburgh the next day)- never to be seen again!
