Drove the eldest daughter to Whitstable for a brisk seaside walk, watch the sunset, followed by a pint and some fish and chips. Handsome!!:D
Froze our asses off though...

I bought some black and silver star centers for my winter rims, got to say they're a bit more tasty imo and inexpensive too...
Just be careful not to tread on them before fitting. Another story....

Why wouldn't you use it? What does eyesight have to do with using it? I use distrionic all the time (good eyesight) and it helps me to be less tired and more alert while doing long trips......

Manufacturers have done considerable research and probably don't supply distrionic as a novelty.

Rory it's not that I won't use it , I'm still getting used to the car and all the apps on it .
I've been driving for 50+ years a lot of it all over Europe and the Middle East and never had a feature to tell how far away from another vehicle I was . I wasn't disrespecting the manufacturers efforts, my reply to John Laidlaw was meant to be light hearted .
Sorry you didn't take it that way.
Cheers Tony

Yesterday- so not strictly right for the thread...
Signed the paperwork and waved goodbye to the CLS. Got away without charges for the small scratches and scuffs on the rims..

Still have 'free stuff' on offer
* 4x winter rims with vreristein
* mercedes branded roof bars for W218
* mercedes coat holder (clips onto headrest)

Could I take the coat holder off you please? Do you have a charity in mind and do they have a payment portal? I'll pm details and pay you the postage, do you have PayPal?

Lovely sunny drive across Dartmoor to Tavy & back.
You can tell summers over, no Willys ice cream van at Cadover bridge.
Missed my usual turn to Gina and ask "Do you fancy pulling over for a willy".
Always makes me smile. Still saved the bruise on the leg.

Used to have a C63...
Went to wash it in preparation for sale (sniff... sob), but new hose pipe procured by OH seems to have bespoke connectors..... None of which are faintly compatible with any of our existing devices! :(

Over night I recharged the flat consumer battery in the SL again! The battery was so flat that i had to open the car door with the key!

Yep didn't think you were disrespecting anybody - just couldn't get my mind around why you wouldn't use it.

I too have been driving for 50 years and having had homes in 8 different countries and worked in many more, I've driven in a huge range of conditions. from jungles & deserts to mountains 12,000ft above sea level.....HOWEVER I am a gadget lover and love the new technology that is available to us in car these days.

It is not about knowing how far away the vehicle in front is, it will maintain the distance you set on your cruise control if the vehicle in front slows down and saves you continually having to reset the cruise control.....try it, you will like it ;-).
