Took delivery of this dinky little 500w heater ... re keeping the outside baby bone dry.

Ran out of milk ... took one look at her iced up windows, and thought, “those windows will NEVER drop enough to open” ... and took the A Class to the local shop instead.

Jolly glad I did as the steep ungritted hill, was a problem even for the lightweight A Class anything over 3 mph started a slide. Pretty much impassable in the 2 ton CL on 275 wide tyres. ;)

Of Course one young tosser in an Audi RSxx tooted me furiously for crawling along, and overtook me doing about 40 mph; he then furiously slid the last 50 meters downhill, spun sideways and slammed into the 9” high kerb, on the other side of the T Junction at the bottom.
( luckily no cars coming along the lower road )
Wow it made a SERIOUSLY loud BANG!!!

On my way back home, he was still there on the phone and his front wheel looked completely buckled right over, ... and the rear took the majority of the impact :-0

I was good and didnt stop and say anything :)

Love it!

Its something people with 4 wheel drive forget. 4WD lets you get going quicker but after that the physics is pretty much the same as any other car.

Really must get some 'w4nker of the day' medals made up and hand out to those sort of drivers.

You showed remarkable resolve to not have put your window down and showed a curled up little finger to illustrate what a little dick he really was.

I'd have given him a huge thumbs up for putting on such a great show!

Might have to get some scorecards made up to hold against the window as I go past for tw*ts like him (insert vowel of choice).

Last night’s drive home (30 miles) had some utter gobsmackers.

The lass in the MINI overtaking a convoy of 9-10 cars I was leading doing 30mph steady, in the oncoming traffic lane, like she’d stolen the car... to slot in front of me and then turn right. She gained around 15 seconds of driving distance and at any one time put 3 people minimum in mortal peril.

The three RS Sport type drivers racing each other down the dual carriageway... the X6 and Tucson close behind them. All in the untouched outside lane 4” deep in snow, with a layer of ice in the middle.

I’d have opened the window and said “vorsprung durch techniq means progression through innovation, not drive like a tw*t. You should take this as a valuable lesson that your perceived and actual talents are at the opposite ends of the spectrum!”

Mindblowing 9 car overtake in this kind of weather.
OK we dont get the 800mm northern snow drifts, but you can NOT mistake 3 to 4” deep powder snow ... er like when the kerb “disappears” it should kind of make you think! Not to mention whats underneath this current fall. 1” of snow thats semi melted and then refrozen!

Or the 8" deep unrepaired pothole just waiting to rip the front suspension out.....

That's nothing, I was leaving work in a futile attempt to get home by car and the road into Totnes is a steep hill, there was a car transporter coming down and sliding when a clio overtook it on a bend and just slid into a stone wall

The Bascule bridge across the harbour entrance in the morning at 7am when I go over it is 2 lanes north and 1 lane south. I travel south over it which means 1 lane going my way. The bridge is often very busy and on Wednesday morning a pillock in a Citroen C1 overtook me on a very icy road into the face of oncoming traffic. Such a shame he got away with it because I would have been delighted to see him disappear through the railings at the side of the bridge. What a pratt !!
