Much better to turn it off I found, much easier to make progress, but it did have a habit of reminding me occasionally it’s a rear wheel drive carView attachment 63951 Had to clear the car so I could drive to work, traction control works
Would you accept a tip from an old hand with the solar chargers. you need to "jerry rig" a connector that will disconnect the live feed when not in use so that there is no drain on the batter when it hooked to the solar charger. I've used this method for about 12 years so I know it works. You will only need to reset the windows and clock everything else will be fine.Due to different circumstances sometimes mine will stand for 12 weeks. Not mine but went to undertake an emergency errand for Mrs RH... thought I'd take her MINWEE for a much need run... click click click... flat battery!
She's still not using it, and the solar charger isn't coping with shorter days and cack weather!
Looked down, and see 2 inches of water across front third of passenger footwell.
She took it out last week, but only short hop in to office and back, and I think battery was too low to fully close windows after auto-drop.
So... much scooping out with dustpan, and padding with paper towel, then towels and cardboard.
And battery out and on CTEK.

A good tip, ta PM. Electrics aren't my strongest suit (I know just enough to be dangerous), so I've opted for a slightly different route... told her it needs to go out once a week for a 25-30 minute run. (Additional benefit is splashing various oils around all the turny movey bits too!)
Wighty,Drove 5 hours to North Wales , left home at 7am so fairly easy traffic journey . Watched the little Santa Hat on the MB star wobble it’s way for 300 miles .
Most modern solar charger panels have a diode built in to stop battery drain on dull days or overnight. Check your instructions / specs on the solar charger. It's easy enough to drop a suitable sized one in the charging lead if necessary.
He isn’t because it’s on my carWighty,
mate,
Santa is not wearing that on his head - trust me...
