Solved, it seems, the slow puncture.

Usual family chaos met I couldn't get to the tyre fitter, so I tried 50 psi for a few mins, roll the car and the deflate to 30 and inflate back to 39 psi (handbook pressure)

It's held it for two days. Inc round town use, so perhaps it was slightly unseated by the pothole.

Early morning drive to Gatwick for three work days in Barcelona tomorrow, so will see what's it's like after that and three days sat in the car park

Tyre pump is in boot.....

Hopefully not a cracked alloy...

Washed off the birds' presents, filled the tank, and checked how my trip computer tweaks are working out.

* Over 925 miles, actual fuel used came to 40.6mpg

* Trip meter since reset (reset on last full tank) says 40.5mpg

Don't think I'll get it closer than that!

Trip up to Greystoke to take a look at this second house, plus a search around of a few other things in the area so ~270 miles yesterday in the old bus, didn’t miss a beat but was a little slow in turning over in the morning after being sat most of the week, so new battery time I think, it is the original so 14 years is not bad

Picked Mum's W204 up from having a new ESL fitted, they had to drill the old one off.

New rear discs and pads , brembo. £133 the lot from ecp. Mb wanted something silly like £600 . Easy job @ 50 minutes per side . Discs had gotten down to the 3 drill holes and the pads were shot . Probably the originals @ 36k.

Week 2 of the c300de.

Still enjoying it. Steering on "sport" much better.

Doing commute on electricity only. Today had errands in Tonbridge, reset "after start" once battery was empty, achieved 71mpg on hybrid mode on return journey. Pretty good!

Starting to learn the best way to drive it for smoothness etc.

Unsurprisingly, mpkwh very low compared to old Renault zoe. Zoe achieved 4+ miles pkwh. Big lumbering c class estate (comparatively) achieves 2.5-3 mpkwh.

Stonking PTC heater for cabin heat doesn't help!

I’m still on my original discs at ~54k miles. Rear pads were replaced at 43k

Tbh I could of left my rears for a long while and fitted just pads . Mb limits say something like min thickness 21.4 mm they're only 24mm new .

Last keeper was a woman , they tend to brake more than men . Also depends on driving towns or motorways , mileage is irrelevant TBF .

Drove it in & out to hospital - a lot - after taking my partner in to A&E yesterday with possible sepsis (thankfully they've ruled that out but haven't worked out what's causing the symptoms so she's still there).

But was gratified to see that my confirmed accurate trip meter showed this after the last run home. Not too shabby for a 21 year old 2.7 litre!
