Drove it in & out to hospital - a lot - after taking my partner in to A&E yesterday with possible sepsis (thankfully they've ruled that out but haven't worked out what's causing the symptoms so she's still there).

But was gratified to see that my confirmed accurate trip meter showed this after the last run home. Not too shabby for a 21 year old 2.7 litre!

I had a CLK270CDI did 120K miles in it, a great car. I used to get over 50mpg on runs.

I lived a couple of miles away from Greystoke for 14 years. Used to cycle round there often now I’m practically a southerner :p:p:p
It’s going to be our second home and bolt hole, it’s a perfect location to do everything in the Lake District easily and being close the the main routes means I can get to London if needed while wife and daughter stay there during holidays

Started to wrap my interior trim with VVIVID Epoxy High Gloss Black Carbon Vinyl Automotive Wrap (actual trim is aluminium). So far so good. I'll update on another thread when I've completed the job.

Filled her up again for a short-ush mileage check after replacing the thermostat seeing as comparison figures out there are few and far between.

Since removing the "tuning" box from the fuel pressure sensor she was averaging 39.8mpg fill-to-fill over about 800 miles before I replaced the thermostat, never getting over 60 Deg C on the gauge.

Since then, over a "little too short to rely on" 250 miles she's done a fill-to-fill 41.7 while sitting happily between 80 & 90 Deg.

So, looks like claims of a thermostat being worth 3-5mpg may well be in the ballpark!

Went out for a trip to Plymouth, got this on the way home

Hit some nasty potholes, where does Vehicle Excise Duty go?

Bit worried about the following codes, hopefully the 2206 is related to the wheel speed sensor issue? Anyone know?

Wholly molly did you get any dash errors or difference in the driving causing you to plug it in? Or did you just plug it in to find those crop up?

Drove both.
The s class did it’s hilarious vmax 2 finger salute as a VW Tiguan got aggressive when the car I was overtaking sped up but stayed alongside me.

ESP fault
ABS fault
Active headlamp fault
Tyre Pressure monitoring fault

It lit the dash up like a Christmas tree!

Implausible and stored l would expect that to clear once the other codes are sorted. Could the pot holes have disturbed corrosion debris collected on the wheel speed sensor magnetism? Maybe getting an airline in there, resetting the codes and go for a drive is worth trying to see if they return.
