Today started on removing the hydragas suspension spheres on my 1999 MGF so can send them off to be re-gassed as after standing for 6 years the ride height has dropped by over 30mm. Have it up on wood blocks and passenger side rear was the first one to be tackled and it was noticed right away that am needing 2 new rear shocks as they seem a little weak and the bushes are shot and the top spigot of the shock is well pitted and well past their sell by date! Am thinking new retaining bolts would not hurt either.

Fitted the 2 small coolant hoses that come off the water pump and fitted the new water pump to the Chimaera.

Took the Landy to the scrappy…

Also drove it home again :p:D

My scales must be faulty, I was convinced I had 500Kg in the trailer… not the 700Kg the weighbridge said I weighed in…:rolleyes:

£250k was the cost of the machine doing the lifting, one in the background was £300k and the big red crusher costs £1M…

There’s some money in scrap…

Anyone need any brake discs?

It would be pick the Landy anyway @Blobcat ;)

Got both front tyres balanced on the Campervan yesterday. 150grams out on the right front, 70 grams out on the left. Thought it was a bit shaky over easter weekend

It’s on the drivers side rear… because the one that was there decided it didn’t want a valve anymore in lane 3 of the M1 at ~70mph overtaking 2 Lorries…
Very difficult to get original BF Goodrich All Terrain tyres - new ones are rubbish. So it’s sat at home until I decide on a plan.

Had to "pop to the shops" after work today. Accidentally went a wee bit further.

For those that know it, Waterville up towards Caherdaniel, on the Ring Of Kerry Atlantic Highway... as the sun finally made an appearance.

Completely forgot... did my 535 mile seasonal commute last Saturday night/Sunday morning - 32.3 mpg across the trip. Happy enough with that, with a well-loaded boot, and a bit of cheekery here & there on the better stretches!

Mercedes w218 CLS63 AMG now gone, RR Velar
First time posting since I sold my merc. After a year with the velar I can say…no salt and pepper . Apart from being very comfortable isn’t anything else to be said. In @10k miles not a problem. I just hit the number:
