I like to use a snow foam and have used Valet Pro with good results
a nice wool mitt is a must imo and the 2 bucket method with grit guards does work
I like my set of wheel woollies and they do their job very well and save time
if you want a hard wax then the Collinite Marque de elegance is a really hard wearing wax
I believe the Collinite 845 is harder but it is best if you warm it up first and is really good on wheels

Pretty much with you there - Carlack sealant & Collinite Marque D'Elegance.
Gtechniq on everything but the windscreen as it does nasty things to the wipers :(
The good stuff is definitely worth the outlay on older vehicles.

i love the finish thay a clay bar leaves, feels so smooth and makes a huge difference when its polished
ive never found a tyre dressing that works for more than a day.

Pretty much the same as the above here too, though don't Snow Foam unless it's grubby.

When I first bought it I did the following: -

Washed using Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo with two bucked method. (No grit guards yet, must buy some soon)
Clayed with Clay Magic Perfect Finish.
Washed again.
Cleaned with Dodo Juice Lime Prime Lite
Waxed with Dodo Juice Diamond White (Just because I had some, maybe try Purple Haze next as this car's darker)
Finally another coat of wax after 24 hours and it's something like how I want it.

Now got to get a parking scrape repaired which happened last week, so will probably go through it all again.

Oh, also got some Carlack glass sealing stuff for the windows and Panoramic roof but not used it yet.

Bit of an obsessive really, but my other car's filthy and I'm not bothered. :)

ETA: Auto Finesse Satin Tyre Dressing for the black things and nothing yet on the leather. Not used it long enough to get it dirty.

Do you use an extractor for the virgins or just squeeze them ?
And do they need to be Brazilian virgins or will any old virgins do ?

^^^ :D

I love detailing, it's a real passion of mine.

My routine involves a rinse with the pressure washer, Juicy Detailing snowfoam, wash with AG shampoo, then Dodo Juice clay, rinse, wash again, polish with Dodo Juice lime prime or AG SRP, then Chemical Guys Blacklight (bought for my previous black car) and then some Dodo Juice purple haze if I've got the time.

On the wheels I use CarKandy urban alloy cleaner and Megs tyre shine :)

I hate 'detailing' i have a life

all this claying and polishing damages the paint. Just use 1 sponge with some cheapo car shampoo with a hose trickling out water as you wipe the panels and rinses of the crap will take you five-ten minutes then dry the thing with a massive waffle towel and its done, no faffing about with silly grit guards in buckets or squashin clay between your fingers or even being amazed at the nice scent the car shampoo may or may not have.

Use a good sealant and you should not have to polish often, paint protected (if you polish often, what does that say about your cleaning methods??..scratches/marks etc)

Claying, when done improperly can indeed damage the paint, as can using a sponge :(

The devil is in the detail, prior preparation is key.

Clay helps remove impurities from the paint such as tar spots, tree sap and bird lime. Having used clay many times over the last five years, I consider it to be an essential, it preps the paint ready for polish, sealant and/or wax.

Some polishes have fillers to help mask swirl marks (the previous owner of my car seemed to think automatic car washes were fine :D) and brings out the the shine in the paint. Wax acts as a lens and magnifies that shine.

I, on average clay three or four times a year (as well as removing all the impurities it'll take off all the wax), I polish the car once a month, which allows to me to wash the car weekly without having to do anything else.
