If a W212 E350 cdi has a regular wheel bolt size of THIS

Mercedes Alloy wheel bolt M14 x 1.5 27mm thread 17mm Hex Radius

and I want to add 15mm spacers all round...would the required new wheel bolt length be the original thread length plus 15mm?

Hmmm thanks am seeing lots of 40mm threads or 45mm threads, wondering if to go long or short? 27+15 = 42 (that's my CSE grade 2 Maths popping out).

Mercedes Alloy wheel bolt M14 x 1.5 27mm thread 17mm Hex Radius
M14 = Outside Diameter in mm. 1.5 = the thread pitch in mm. 17mm = the length of the thread in mm

So Mike with those dimensions in mind if the only options you have are 40mm thread length or 45mm would you go long or short?

Mercedes Alloy wheel bolt M14 x 1.5 27mm thread 17mm Hex Radius

According to your link above, it would appear the length of the thread is 27mm.
I would be inclined to remove an existing bolt and measure the thread length

PS: Don't forget to re-torque to 130NM

A 40mm long bolt will suffice. The wheel bolt screws in around 16-20mm into the hub. 2mm short won't cause a problem.

Go for the 40mm

I would use H&R Spacers as well in a DR application (Bolt through), you will need 2 x 30mm kits, Part No is 3055665
