Where are all the Cam adjuster Covers?

I have been looking at buying a second hand R171 SLK 200. Every one I have looked at had the cam adjuster cover missing. I know the adjusters leak, but there must be hundreds of them somewhere lol.

LostKiwi Well now i can see . Would have been best if poster could have posted one like you have ,,to save confusion,,and at my age it wont take much to confuse me

It really isn't a question, just an observation that whenever you go to buy or see a picture the engine of a second hand SLK200. This cover is missing. They are £14 new from MB.

This is also the same on The E Class 200. Don't understand why anyone would take it off and not replace it. It just clips back on. You can still see if it leaks oil with the cover on.

Cheaper still on eBay I would think ( you might even get your original one back )
