Merry Christmas everyone. The other day on the way to my gig the brake pedal suddenly went down to the floor with a little bit of braking about an inch from the bottom. I assumed that the master cylinder had gone. After the gig lo and behold, the brakes worked perfectly! Has anybody ever experienced this? Obviously all is not well with the braking system, so I need to sort it. I will check all the calipers and hoses for leaks (the fluid level hasn't dropped), anything other than the master cylinder that I should look for? If that is the case, anything special that I need to be aware of with regard to overhauling the master cylinder? It looks pretty standard with 3 pipes coming out and 2 bolts onto the booster (no ABS as far as I know) Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have had this happen, it was the master cylinder on the way out.
