Wife’s A168 broken front spring and looks like this has gouged the bush.

MB want £103 each i.e x2 as doing the other side. Note have changed the rears last year. 2 years old and 71,000 miles.
Local dealer has no bushes, maybe ex MK or Germany.
so looked at euro car parts £56 each.
the brand is Lemforder … never heard of them.
is is worth it? Any views.
I have always used MB parts before.
The picture on these look different to MB WIS . Hence my concern. Gut feel its better to pay £36 more each side for piece of mind.

I always use SACHS for springs and Shockers from CarPart4Less (part of euro car parts group) and you get extra discount on the already discounted prices if you time your buying time right.
Talking to the deliver driver, they even supply my local MB dealership with parts....work that one out!!!!

Hi
Bad news no more top mount parts from MB.
discontinued.

possibly Good news … if they fit.
Autodoc have Bilstein springs and matching top mounts - for both sides £127 plus £8 postage. 70% off springs and 51% off Top mounts, so they were not cheapo stuff at full price.
Beats MB at £311.
so ordered them.
They quote the MB original part no’s so hope they do fit.

I lowered a new E Class Coupe yonks ago, and the MB dealer recommended Bilstein - and they really improved the ride massively - before you could order lowered sports suspension from MB.
kept the car 3 years 44,000 miles and no problems at all. But then the roads were in better nick!

Are Autodoc easy to desl with if they prove to be incompatible? As they are in Germany I guess it will be a hassle - but with no MB ones … might as well try.

I have had no problems with Autodoc just a bit of a wait sometimes. Prices vary though, usually cheaper through the app but one item recently came up £20 cheaper on a Google search but the price was honoured in the App.
