Do not use wire wool on windscreen, tiny fragments will come of the wool and scratch paintwork when you try to get them off or worse still stay on the paintwork and rust....Clean the windscreen with a citrus based all purpose cleaner like citrol then clay it, clean with a glass cleaner or white vinegar and lastly polish. You can if your brave enough use a razor blade before the apc to remove bug guts etc but the apc together with the clay is generally enough.This is my thinking, couldn't remember the wire wool grade :???:
