Windscreen washer bottle/tank replacement

Hi I have a ML320 2002 - recently bought and the tank was cracked - dealer gave me a replacement - said just a question of 2 screws!! Obvious it wont fit - managed to pull out old one easily as it was falling to bits - but new one wont go in - looked at youtube and 2 different versions - one was to take out the fuse box and the other was to remove part of the front bracing - any advice please??

David could you repair the old one ,i did on one of mine after frost took it . Just till you can get a new one .If its split just rough it up and fibreglass it over .
