Not to worry! We are hoping that it wont be long before the protocols are added to the WT4 for Delphi management which is what a lot of the 2.2 CDi Mercedes engines run as an ECU

Hi,
Is this system suitable for a 2010 C350 CDI ?
and what gains can I expect ?
Will the car be more smokey and perhaps shorten the life of the dpf?
Thanks

Good morning,

No there will be no extra smoke but unfortunately your vehicle requires the ECU to be removed and programmed directly. What horse power model is it???

Hi Anthony,
231ps, it is preface lift.
ECU needs to be removed? So it can't be programmed over obd port?
So just single map like a trad remap?
Thanks

Yes unfortunately your vehicle has ATP ( Anti tuning Protection ) Which means if anyone goes near it via OBD and tries to pull the maps off! Instant brick!!!

Yes the ML350 cdi runs EDC17 with ATP as well. We have tuned many of these vehicles and also this engine and they all run anti tuning protection.

So although my CLS could have been tuned by myself using your WTS my new W164 ML which runs the same engine setup will have to be tuned by removal of the ECU? :(

Good morning,

That's correct 59 plate was the change over from EDC16 management to EDC17 tri-core management which has ATP.

Yes the diesel models do! A lot of petrols don't due to the run MED7 management or Siemens. The latest F10, F30 BMWs no one can do yet as the protocols for communication have not been found/written yet. Will be available shortly.

Is there any chance you'll be bypassing the MB ATP anytime soon?

Unfortunately not in the near future! We have the ability to get round the ATP on VAG vehicles and activate them to be OBD after but nothing exists for Mercedes yet!!!

Hi Anthony,

How come you can get so much more performance out of a diesel engine than a petrol engine?

I have a clk 280, is there any other way to get better performance from it?

The gains for your vehicle are minimal! At most we would see 15bhp with improved throttle response. With diesel vehicles we can not only play with fuel but also turbo pressure making for larger power and torque gains.
