I have a problem with the drivers headlamp on my 2004 320 CLK Conv W209 model, the main headlamp flickers on and off. I read an article by Steve that its almost 90% the HID ballast causing the problem. Do I also need to change the ignitor? Is there a test I can carryout for both? I called MB of Bath and they quoted 464 pounds for the ballast unit alone!!!. Steve mentioned the Bosch number is 1-307-329-072 is this correct? Could someone suggest a suitable supplier which will be a little cheaper the MB, please.

Plenty on Ebay cheap and under £100 I think,,, if could be worth changing the bulbs over to be sure, you could move the ballast/igniter over as well to be sure
