At last after several months looking, just collected my 53 plate Jasper blue:D

However 2 silly niggles with it if someone could help would be great:cool:

When pulling away I have a chirp from the engine area and also the centre console lid does not catch on the um catch, can I get a replacement catch or do I require a complete lid?

I guess these are small niggles to most but I am soooooooooo fussy and want every perfect:wink:

Will pop some pictures up as soon as the ruddy sun comes out!

The chirp is normal (it's the SC clutch engaging) - ignore it.

Console lid - common problem, quite few work-arounds (no catch available on its own though) - let us know how it's going wrong with pictures

Hi David, thanks for putting my mind at rest regarding chirp.

As for the console lid, it just does not click into position and because of that I keep getting a message comes up in the binnacle telling me its open!

If this is the center arm rest lid it is vacuum locked, what you can do is to pull the plug off the switch and the warning will go away

If my memory serves me correctly the warning comes from the lamp in the box, mine was never plugged in. I loved it when you opened the center box and the car went "bong box open" very handy when you are old and not quite sure of what you are doing any longer.
