Simple question. Can anyone confirm the correct part number for the engine oil filter. I purchased one a couple of weeks ago (haven't got it with me presently so can't give part no.) but I'm uncertain whether it's the correct one. It seems to be the correct length etc and is the type that slides onto the elongated stick thing attached to the oil filter housing cap. However, mine seems to have come with 4 smallish (differing sizes) of "o" ring plus the large "o" ring for the cap. I thought there were just 3 smallish "o" rings plus the large one for the cap. Maybe someone's put 1 "o" ring too many in my box because I seem to have 2 of one of the sizes. I'd just like to check by MB part number that what I have been give is correct. It did come in a MB sealed box !

Spare o ring is normal. Can't remember, but the same filter fits something else where the extra o ring is needed, possibly a diesel?

Make sure you push the filter all the way on till it clicks. They put a line on the filter now to show the fitted position.

Thanks folks for your prompt response. Yes, the filter has a couple of lines on it. Think I've possibly got the correct item then.
