Yes, I've the lack of use/colder morning issue noted in the "Aaaarggghh" thread with my 300ce, the drip from front windscreen on my 200TE on another thread, and on the last few mornings have noticed a flashing demister light when turned on (rear tail glass doesn't clear), according to the handbook the battery isn't getting charged properly or too much drain on it ( so its not allowed to work), yet only demister switched on.

The car starts first time every time, nothing else of note electrically with it.

You need to measure the battery voltage to see what it's getting. It should be 14-14.5v

Ok, so was getting a few other bits done to the 300ce, asked my guy to remove and clean/dry the distributor cap, checked and cleaned contacts too, then sprayed in the silicone grease, put all back on, its quite an awkward job!

Car started first time, off I went, 3 miles up the road as I came to a junction and the revs dropped, it cut out again.

Tried restarting it, after 4/5 attempts the engine wouldn't turn over at all, waited another 30 mins, started again first time and I drove the 4 miles further to home..........more suggestions guys??!!
