Good evening everyone,
I have had nothing but electrical problem after electrical problem since christmas on my 211 E320 cdi 2003. The latest is that the alarm decides to wake up my neighbours whenever it wishes. Sometimes only the lights flash making my road look like we are having a rave or I get the full works where its the lights and the siren. Has anyone had this problem and if so can they throw some light on how to fix it or can I just pull out the fuse for the alarm. If I can just pull out the fuse what fuse number is it.
Regards
Alan

Just disconnect the siren, the internal batteries have expired, it will be at the rear section of a front wheel arch liner, you can hear the side it is in.

You can leave the siren off or buy another one.

Hello All,

Thought I would let you all know how I got on with my alarm problem.
Firstly I would like to thank both Malcolm and Simon for their help, it makes it worth while to be a member of this forum where people are willing to give advise to us who are not as knowledgeable.
I went to my local MB dealer in Essex to buy the parts where they asked me if I would like them to fit it for me for Parts plus £52.00 inc vat labour which came to a total of £156.12 inc vat. This for me was worth it as it would have taken me some time to locate and fit the new part so for once I thought that MB service charges although still expensive was very convenient as they done it there and then.

Regards

Hi Pathfinder,

This highlights my point, thankfully people were able to advise on what works. My neighbours would have been kept up for several days if I would have changed the wrong parts and OK it has cost me big but it is now done.
I am gratefull to you all for your advise and help.

Regards

Alan
