This is a immobilizer problem not a strong point with me,it is not a key problem. I think that what ever it is it was done by the last owner

A diesel
It's just the way the immobiliser works, it self arms after a short duration of no key in the ignition.

Could be thats the way it affects the E class, I do not think it has ever been asked before, at least no one is going to steal it,, I trust that you are enjoying the car now :D

Morning Malcolm yes the car is a pleasure to drive there are one or two niggles to sort out but that goes with an old car. it keep showing edc and ets on the display wich are diesel and traction but the car doesnt seem to be lacking power so as I said earlier I am going to get a diagnostic check done to give me piece of mind, thankyou again Malcolm No doubt we will be chatting soon
