Some of you might have seen my previous post on turbo problems, after fitting 2 turbos in 2 weeks in a e220 it has now done about 100 miles with the new turbo but now gone into limp mode with fault code 2510-1
Any one got any thoughts on this? Is it linked to turbo again?

Cheers rob

I assume they also included a refurbed turbo actuator as this points to an issue with that or the exhaust gas pressure sensor - little hole at the bottom gets blocked.

Yes first turbo turned up, I fitted it and the new actuator failed (apparently the gear split in half) so sent turbo back and they sent another out (with another new actuator) and this has done about 100 miles but now got this fault and limp mode. What is this pressure sensor you mention? Where do I find it? It would make sense for it to block up as when the original turbo failed it chucked a lot of oil through the exhaust (took a good 15 miles to burn it off)
Also my budget reader is saying that the fault code
2510-1 is check component y1 00/1 (Right charge pressure positioner) positioner signals fault.

Does that mean much?
cheers.

That is pointing to the turbo actuator as being the problem.

Right managed to get it to clear the fault codes and took it for a hard run of about 50 miles keeping rpm at 3500-4000 (2nd and 3rd gear) and not done it since.

If the turbo failed, unless you stopped immediately, it will take a lot longer than 15 miles to burn off any oil pumped into the exhaust. I had some turbo failures in motor sport when the engine stopped immediately and the exhaust could be so full of oil it would run out when you hung it up!
