Zenith/Stromberg sidedraught carb dashpot

Hi guys

How much atf oil goes in the top of the sidedraught carb on the 123 200?

Just rebuilt the carb to attemp to improve economy and hot-start problems...

Hi MechPhil, years ago when I owned cars with SU and Stromberg carbs I used to fill the piston tube to a level so that when you insert the plunger it shows resistance when about 1/4 inch from screw down, Ive never used ATF for this job which I would have thought too thin, only used light engine oil. hope this helps.
