It's the format of the phosphorus that matters not the quantity. Cola contains phosphoric acid which reacts with the steel / iron to cause the phosphate conversion effect. Industry uses phosphoric acid in the phosphate coating process together with other oils /sealers to form an impermeable coat as an anti rust / corrosion protection process. Phosphates also aid lubricity.
Milk / yogurts contain phosphates but there would be no reaction with metal as its needs the acid /metal reaction to lay down the phosphate..
