2006 A Class central locking problem

This is my first post. I have the same door chattering problem with both back doors on my A150. Please could you send me the fix and info on the tools needed etc.

I have recently purchased an A 180 CDI and am having the same problem with the central locking chattering and not locking the doors, the only one that doesn't chatter is the front passenger one.
Can you send on the same info to diagnose and cure please.

I can give them to you but as MB only will be supplying the parts, they will have the latest part number and they will be ordered from the car's VIN these things get up dates all the time

Locks

I fixed this when it happenned a few months ago (A150 2005) one passenger door when I first bought the car, after much messing about I simply slammed the offending door and since then it has been perfect. I think that the door may not have been used much in the past and such a good seal it wasnt closing fully & the lock bounced. It is working perfectly still without being slammed althou I do close it firmly.

Having said all that I would be very grateful for the instructions in case it fails again.

Has anyone got any places where we can buy a replacement lock mechanism from cheaper than the stealers?

Just called my local MB stealer and they want around £100 + VAT for one. I have read about people getting them for around £50?
